I imagine this assemblage originally served as a first aid cabinet -I salvaged it from my Father-in-law's shed. He is such a great source of collaging treasures!

After a good scrub down the piece began to take shape in a medley of primary colours to tie in with the Superman comic clippings that inspired the title, and various other embellishments from my hoards.

Echoing the idea of the cabinet storing the medicines of days gone by, one shelf is stacked with a bottle and containers. Mini collages reside on the other 2 shelves, whilst the piece is also adorned with broken watches, weird Spanish playing cards, butterflies (a common motif in my work), gems, beads, ribbons, charms and so on.

This assemblage measures 222mm w x 427mm h x 150mm d. It is corded so it may be wall hung, but also stands freely. Although it is intended as a piece of Surrealist/Pop-inspired art work, it could also still function as a cabinet for storing precious trinkets.

As all my pieces are one-offs and therefore irreplaceable, purchases will be mailed first class recorded delivery -requiring a signature to ensure safe arrival.

All items will be carefully packaged to preserve their fragile nature.
