Nature study was one of the most popular hobbies in the Victorian age and produced some exquisitely detailed paintings and book plates. I have always found these beautiful studies fascinating and they provide the inspiration for many of my paintings.

Reminiscent of Victorian entomology studies, this set of 4 Bumblebees would look fabulous displayed as a group in a period property. The bees are; a Red-tailed Bumblebee, a Common Carder Bee, a Great Yellow Bumblebee and a White-tailed Bumblebee. A great gift for a gardener, bee keeper or nature lover.
The paintings have been t-hinge mounted with green and gold vintage mounts and framed in vintage wooden frames. The frames measure approximately 8.5" x 7.5" (21cm x 19cm) and the images 4" x 3" (9.5cm x 7cm)..
All materials used are artist quality and acid free. Each painting has been signed, however, I've hidden the signature under the mount so as not to detract from the image.
I’ve done my best to capture colours accurately. However, please note, that colours will be affected by your computer resolution and the actual item colours may differ from those you see on the screen.
