This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.

Meet Brian. A Snail in rainbow colours.

The body is streaky glass, a green and purple mix.

The shell is made from all the colours of the rainbow with lots of different textured glass, to give it movement. There's a little silver shell bead in the middle as an accent and. I've made the eye from a little silver heart. Brian is much cuter than a real snail.

This is 12cm long by 8cm high.

A bright and beautiful piece which will enhance any window and cast its colours across the room when the sun shines through.

The snail hangs from a silver chain which is securely attached to the top of the shell by a soldered wire ring.

This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.

All photos are of this snail as it is the first I've made of this design.

This is the only snail allowed anywhere near my garden.
In the 2nd photo I presented Brian with a dahlia, as, as all gardeners know, dahlias are a favourite food of snails. Brian declined to eat it and has promised never to eat them ever again. This after I showed him exactly what happens to the 'ex-snails' in my garden which go anywhere near my dahlias .
So you can feel confident that your plants will be entirely safe with Brian about.
