This felted bag is the end result of my Sheep to Hat six week craft course. The main part of the bag I wet felted with Alpaca fleece with Jacob fleece and Merino wool needle felted on to the front and back. The shoulder strap is knitted in stocking stitch with white Merino wool and needle felted with more wool on the back to give added strength the front has stripes of Jacob and Alpaca added.
The bottom of the bag has Merino wool I needle felted then added circles of Jacob and Alpaca needle felted. The front flap is made of Jacob fleece that I spun on a spinning wheel and knitted in garter stitch with a knitted loop and a felted button to close.
The fleece were first washed by me then dried then carded with a hand carder and a drum carder
