Full description
I like woollen knitwear but I sometimes have shrinking accidents when washing it. This inspired me to make some beautifully soft and warm patchwork baby blankets.
The front is made from squares from various jumpers, cardigans and tank tops in blues, purples and greys stitched together. It is backed with the softest pale blue fleece and trimmed with light grey bias binding. I then hand appliqued stars onto it.
I then quilted in the ditch to secure the front to the back.
As all the knitwear has been put on a hot wash to felt them this blanket is completely machine washable.
The blanket measures 70 x 66cm (27.5 x 26 inches) making it an ideal size for a pram or pushchair.
