A gorgeous bunch of peonies I bought from the local market were my inspiration for this piece. It was also inspired by my need to play with other mediums other than illustrating and designing on a computer screen. This piece is part of a series of drawings I've been creating each morning before setting to work on the tasks of that day. I set a time limit for each and let the simple pleasure of using the inks and watercolours guide the outcome.

Full description
An original ink drawing based on a still life of a jug of gloriously bright peonies. Once the ink dried I loosely coloured the image with watercolours. It is part of a series of doodle type drawings I've been creating just for the fun of mark making with calligraphy pens and getting messy.
The drawing was made on 300gsm, acid free, watercolour paper and is mounted in a 12x10" ivory mount and is fully backed with stiff card. The final mounted drawing will come un-framed inside a protective cello sleeve and posted inside hard backed packaging.
