The "Flora" bag is a lovely petite tote bag. It's neat size is great for when you only need to take the essentials with you but still has plenty room for a book or two.

The gorgeous Harris Tweed is a mixture of teal, light green and cream and was only made in a small quantity, not to be made again. It is truly unique. There's a cream lace trimming along the top third of the bag finished off with a yoyo and blue button.

The bag and two handles are lined in a beautiful large print cotton fabric with colours that really complement the lovely tweed. It closes with a magnetic button fastening.

Size: 10" x 10" with strap length of 28" approx.

The "Flora" bag is named after my sister-in-law and very special friend of mine who loves handbags and all things Harris Tweed. This bag reflects her personality, in that it is practical, pretty and one-of-a-kind!

Harris Tweed is defined by law as having been "handwoven by the islanders at their homes in the Outer Hebrides, made from pure virgin wool dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides". It is the only fabric in the world to be governed by an act of Parliament!

Harris Tweed is more than a fabric though, it is a way of life, a means for islanders to support themselves in a fragile economy and a connection to generations past, present and future.
