Full description

A McArdle bag made from purple (or should I say aubergine?) waxy leather.

I originally designed this bag for my niece who wanted a satchel with a bit of attitude (like herself) - her bag was made in lime green lizard print to add to the wow factor. So the flap is cut at an angle and the strap goes over the top of the bag on the opposite angle and fastens with a single buckle. The long shoulder strap adjust with a buckle.

This style is as popular with the guys as it is with the girls!

The main compartment is approx 12.5 inches wide, 9.5 inches high and 3 inches deep. The pocket is approx 10 inches wide, 5.5 inches wide and 1.5 inches deep. Plenty of room to carry A4 pads, books, phone, i-pod, purse and lots more - an ideal bag for work or college.

This satchel is totally hand made - each piece of leather was cut by hand and then hand stitched together using traditional saddle stitch - 2 needles, waxed linen thread and a very sharp awl.
