Me and my daughter often visit the goats in our friends rare breed park and I wanted to make something new in the quirky trophy range. A goat! I cut all my pieces free hand without patterns and it's so much fun to try new things! x

Full description

A really quirky textile trophy that is sure to cheer up it's surrounding wherever it ends up!

I started with a forget-me-not blue wool material for the head and neck and stuffed it hard with new polyester stuffing. I am Swedish but live in the Highlands of Scotland and I adore tartan and tweed! So I used both. A luscious checked tweed for the horns and a blue tartan for inside the ears. The ears are wired for structure.

Me and my daughter often cycle down to the rare breed park to give the donkeys and goats a carrot or apple and there is just no way to describe a goat's eye other than; freaky! My interpretation is a felt eye with a black embroidered heart as the pupil.

I used a few different yarn for the goatee and the fluffy fringe.

I thought he needed a little something and made a flower out of starched felt attached it with wire that I wrapped with thread in different green shades.

It is mounted on a piece of routed and painted wood and the back is covered with felt and has a cute ribbon to hang it on the wall.

The wood measures 19x30 cm.

I hope you like it.
