Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher entirely handmade using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
An Ice Skate, a new design in 2013.
I originally designed this as a present for a young girl so the basic boot is in lovely iridescent pastel pink glass with the front and the sole picked out in other types of pink.
The blade is iridescent clear glass with a ripple design.
I've formed a lace from wire and added 4 little silver beads as hooks at the top.
I've finished it off with a wire bow which is securely soldered to the top and from which it hangs by a silvery chain.
The suncatcher is 4 inches in diameter.
It would make a lovely decoration for a child's room but please note that this is an ornament made of glass and not a toy.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass. Every one is different.
The 5th photo shows the first version I made, to order, of this design it is personalised with a name in little silver beads on the blade. That one is in white with pink contrasts.
Please let me know if you would like a name adding - I charge £1 for this.
