Handmade textile wrist cuff in beautiful shades of turquoise and pale purple inspired by the sea. I love the colour of the waters around the Isle of Iona and find the light there so inspiring.

To make this cuff I have needle felted all sorts of fabrics onto wool felt. Included in the mix are voile, organza and merino fibres. I have also included some handspun yarn from here in Scotland. Once the fabrics are well needled, I free machine embroider with lovely toning threads adding a bit of couched yarn here and there.
The cuff is then lined and satin stitched around the edges for a nice finish.
I've added a pearly vintage button in keeping with the sea theme and the lining is a nice light muslin in toning shades.

Cuff measures 20cm long and 5.5cm wide and 6cm in diameter when done up.

This is a very comfortable piece to wear.
