I designed this suncatcher to represent the colours of Thailand, of the Chinatown and Chatuchak markets in Bangkok.

Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
This new design is called Ribbons. I've drawn 7 coloured ribbons twisting down and swirling out from a multi-faceted crystal. In a square shape but hanging on the diagonal from the corner crystal.
I wanted to reflect the fantastic vibrant colours of Thailand and the Far East so have cut glass ribbons in glass ranging in colour from turquoise, pink, purple, yellow, red, blue and green.
I've framed the square in twisted wire for strength and neatness.
I am really pleased with this new suncatcher. It looks super in the window with the sun casting the vibrant colours which change with the light, and the crystal sparkling.
This is 13 cm square and hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely attached to the top corner of the suncatcher.
It can hang in a window or just against a wall and it is would make a wonderfully colourful addition to any room.
I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece to ensure it is unique.
All photos are of this suncatcher as this is the first I have made of this design.
