I designed this for a commission. The original version was a little bigger than this one as I made it to the customer's specific request.
I liked what I had made so much I made another, this one, for sale here in my Folksy shop.

Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher handmade using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
I designed it for a commission and liked it so much this vibrant red poppy picture is now in my catalogue.
The suncatcher is in the form of a picture with two full flowered bright red poppies and another just in bud.
The green leaves are cut from bright green glass and the surround is clear glass with a gentle hammered texture.
I've framed the picture in twisted wire for extra strength and neatness.
The suncatcher hangs from a little silver chain which is securely attached at the top by soldered rings.
I love this new poppy design. It looks absolutely stunning hanging up in the light where it shines and the different textures of glass give it life and sparkle. It will surely bring a splash of colour wherever it is hung.
The suncatcher is oval, 6 inches high and 4.5 wide.
It can hang anywhere, not just in a window but also against a wall and would make a super present and it is absolutely unique.
I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
I have included 5 photos. The 5th is of the previousl Poppy picture I made so you can see each is unique even though made to the same pattern.
