So my New Year Resolution for 2014 was to make glass which is bright colourful and original.

Full description

This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.

I wanted a new design to mark the start of 2014 and came up with the idea of a play on words giving me a New Year Revolution. I've made it bright and rich using the rainbow spectrum but reserving the blue for a deep blue shiny border.

There are 8 colours in the curved wheel with each colour repeated twice. Lots of streaks, texture and iridescence.

At the centre is one of my special ex-chandelier multi faceted crystals.

I am really pleased with this new suncatcher. It looks superb in the window with the sun casting the vibrant colours which change with the light, and the crystal sparkling.

This is 14 cm square and hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely attached to the top of the suncatcher.

It can hang in a window or just against a wall and it is would make a wonderfully colourful addition to any room.

I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece to ensure it is unique.

The 5th photo shows the previous and only other version I've made of this design so you can see they are different though to the same pattern.
