I love making felt using the traditional wet-felting technique, and adding other fibres and fabrics in the process to create a unique piece of fabric each time. Each piece takes about an hour (and lots of elbow-grease!) to felt. Once dry, it is trimmed, stitched, and decorated before being made up into the cover. Each one is different, never to be repeated, a piece of 'usable art'. A single cover can take the best part of a day to complete, but it's a very satisfying process and a very tactile end-product.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.

Full description
This beautiful keepsake book cover has been meticulously crafted and sewn, using a base fabric of handmade merino wool felt. The finished piece was then stitched and embellished with beads before being made up into the cover.
The colours and stitched lines immediately suggested the name 'Sunset' for this cover.
The cover is softly padded, lined with toning hand-dyed cotton fabric and oversewn several times around the edges. A length of golden grosgrain ribbon has been stitched along the spine and a narrow satin ribbon forms an attached bookmark.
It comes complete with an A5 casebound sketchbook from Seawhite of Brighton, with 46 sheets (92 pages) of 140gsm acid-free cartridge paper. Their books are made in Britain using British paper and are renowned for their excellent quality.
I can also offer a lined notebook as an alternative to the sketchbook. Please request this option when ordering - if there is no specific request, the cover will be shipped with a sketchbook.
Whichever book you choose, it can easily be replaced with a new one when needed, or perhaps with a diary or address book.
It would make a perfect gift for any occasion. This original cover is a one-of-a-kind piece, totally unique.
The cover measures approx 6.5 x 9 inches (16.5 x 23 cm) closed.
