My daughter loves to read and loves cushions so I thought I'd create a cushion which could store a book. I love heart, flower and bird motifs and so didn't have to think too long about what would go on the pocket!

Full description
This lovely cushion has been handmade with a pretty floral cotton fabric. Ideal for a little girl's room, I have added a lined pocket to the front which can be used to store any number of favourite things! Great for holding a book, teddy, gadget... it's up to you!
On the pocket I have appliqued my own design of a bird and a heart flower. The bird and the heart are made from 100% wool felt in a lovely shade of pink. I have also used the same cotton fabric as the cushion and a pretty lime-green for the leaves.
The cushion comes complete with a polyester inner and measures approximately 15" by 15" (39 cm by 39 cm). The pocket measures approximately 9" deep (22.5 cm) by 11" across (28 cm).
There is an envelope style opening at the back and all seems have been overlocked for neatness and extra strength. All in all a lovely cushion.
If necessary I would recommend cleaning the cover by washing gently by hand and allowing to dry naturally.
