After a trip to the British Museum I focused on a tiny feature of one of the vases I saw and came up with this very simple design. I really enjoy working with acrylic because of the range of colours and I like the idea of mixing materials and having a change from an all silver necklace.

Full description
This handmade silver and acrylic necklace was inspired by a trip to the British Museum in London. I love the vibrancy of the orange and blue acrylic (and how those colors look great on all skin tones) and thought the fold formed, hammered silver crescent in between the two half moon shaped pieces of acrylic worked well. The three half moon shapes together make me think of bunting!
The three crescents hang off a handmade round linked sterling silver chain and the fastening is a handmade silver hammered crescent T-bar to tie in with the fold formed, hammered silver half moon.
Length of necklace: 46.5 ms, 18 and a quarter inches
Length of half moon: 6 cms, 2 and half inches
