Full description
This lovely notebook cover has been carefully handmade from blue broderie anglaise fabric over white cotton damask, decorated with applique pieces of floral cotton, and trimmed with lace, sequins and buttons. Dark blue ribbon has been stitched along the spine and a length of narrow satin ribbon forms an attached bookmark. The back features a quotation by Oscar Wilde, with more of the floral fabric and lace.
The cover is softly padded and lined with gingham fabric in blue and white.
The cover comes complete with a standard A5 sized sketchbook from Seawhite of Brighton. Their books are made in Britain using British paper and are renowned for their excellent quality. The book can easily be replaced with a new one when needed, or perhaps with a diary or address book.
This original cover is a one-of-a-kind piece, totally unique, and would make an ideal gift.
The cover measures approx 6.5 x 9 inches (16.5 x 23 cm) closed.
