Seven Seas Handmade Fabric.

Description:
The Seven Seas fabric is created from memories of staring into the warmer seas on holidays abroad. It has several shades of blue greens to reflect the colours of the seas. There are creams and gold’s to for the sea floor elements.
The fabrics I have used have various textures such as the subtle shimmer of satins; soft feel woven wools and laces and nets at top for depth of colour and texture.
I have embellished the fabric with straight and zig zag machine stitch in shades of metallic threads, reflecting the movement of the water. There are couched threads of sari silk and silky texture ribbons. In places Beads and sequins are had stitched to shimmer as the light hits it.
The Seven Seas fabric is sewn onto a robust Calico backing. The fabric does not have a grain or bias as it’s stabilised by the calico.
I can see this fabric making bags or technology equipment covers and Art pad holders. I imagined it would also make lampshade fabric.

After care:
Hand wash with delicate washing liquid. Use a cloth if pressing or ironing, with fabric face down on the ironing surface.
Ensure all cut edges will be sewn in construction.
