This is one of a series of glass and stitch landscapes inspired by my local beach and shoreline. I fuse the strips of glass together in my kiln, printing the scene with glass enamel. Once it is fired I add further detail with stitch. This glass piece is stitched to an off-white background and framed in a black box frame which highlights the printed glass nicely
Due to the nature of the fusing and print processes, each one of these little landscapes is different from the last, making every one a unique piece of art (the one shown is the one you will receive). I try to use recycled glass wherever possible; the glass used for this piece was unwanted picture frame glass.
The frame measures approximately 10" x 8" (26cm x 21cm) and is ready to hang.
