This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.

It is a Robin, prince of British garden birds.

I've used brown streaky glass with some red lights for the body, streaky red for the breast and iridescent streaky white for the underside.
The eye is a twinkly tiny flower bead and I've made the legs and feet from thrice twisted wire.

It looks very sweet hanging in the window in the light.

This suncatcher hangs from a little chain which is securely attached to the top. It is approximately 11cm wide.

This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.

This would make a super present especially for a bird loving friend.

I now have 1 of these for sale. This is the one in photos 1 and 2 and on the right of the 3rd photo. Photos 4 & 5 are of the one I have already sold..

I have a tame robin in my garden. I keep its food in the back of the garage and when I go up to the garage to work the robin is often first in the door. He waits patiently until I put out his food - suet pellets and mealy worms. If I forget he sometimes flies round my head and sings.
Yesterday he must have been extra hungry. I heard a little bang and found the lid of the suet pellet tub on the floor and the robin about to help himself !

He posed for my design and has approved the end result !
