PLEASE NOTE THESE ITEMS ARE NOT FOR SALE, but reserved for (hashtag)tinasjubilee. Sorry, Folksy won't let me use the actual hashtag symbol.
A selection of eleven hand crafted cards, each a unique one-off individual art piece.
All of the cards are made from materials which were destined for the bin (old books, clothes,magazines, food packaging etc..) making them extremely eco-friendly. I absolutely never cut up books which could otherwise be read, or clothes which could be worn, nor do I erase the blemishes left by life.
The materials used already have a history and a story to tell (see my blog, alisonsye.com, for more details), for example, the postcards are made from a book which is 43 years old. It had seen better days, but had already given an untold amount of pleasure. The little house, you can see in the image, is made entirely from my family's old clothes, and has lots of memories attached.
Where appropriate, each card comes with a sewn upcycled envelope.
