Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
Designed as an Autumn Flower, using the same pattern as my Rainbow Flower, to replicate the brightness of autumnal leaves. Once I had filled the centre with a big multi-faceted crystal I thought maybe it is a Bonfire. You can choose what it is.
The flower has 16 petals, all slightly different shapes and using the colours of the autumn leaves which I was admiring through my window as I selected the glass for the petals.
I've used lots of different textures of glass in the petals, streaky, iridescent so it has movement and when the sun shines it casts wonderful light across the room.
A silver coloured little chain is securely attached by solder to the top of the Flower with a little ring to hang it.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use different variations of colour and textures of glass.
This piece is 15cm in diameter.
