Full description
A 26g (7/8 oz) quilted sycamore top whorl drop spindle. The whorl measures 7.5 cm (3 inches) in diameter, and is undercut to promote a longer spin. The spindle length is 23 cm (9 inches) and the hook is silver plated. There is no notch, although one can be added should you so wish.
Photographs show the characteristics of quilted sycamore which is very similar to the quilted maple so highly prized for the back of violins.
