I've sold this one but will be making another straight away so please check back,
This is a stained glass suncatcher handmade using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
It is a star, a very sparkly star.
I've designed it with 8 diamond shaped points made from iridescent clear glass and at the centre a sparkling dichroic glass nugget which I made in my little Hotpot fusing kiln.
The iridescent glass gives the star a turquoise and pink shimmer.
For extra sparkle I've soldered 8 little silvery stars between each point.
The star is 9.5cm in diameter and hangs from a silvery chain securely attached via a soldered wire ring to the top of the star.
This item is totally individual. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass. I can make this in different colours if you prefer. Please send me a message if you do.
My suncatchers are for all year round, they don't need to be put away when the festive season is over.
The 5th photo shows the other star I made to the same design but with different dichroic glass nugget and snowflakes.
