Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher handmade using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
It is a star, a very very shiny star.
I've designed it with 5 diamonds made from textured iridescent clear glass and with a central faceted and very sparkly chandelier crystal,.
I've filled the gaps between the diamonds with 5 more little crystals and then 5 silver coated glass nuggets. Round the edge there are another 10 shiny clear glass nuggets.
The iridescent diamonds shimmer with a hint of pale pink and turquoise.
This has to be the sparkliest star ever !
The star is 5 inches in diameter and hangs from a silvery chain securely attached via a soldered wire ring to the top of the star.
This item is totally individual. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass. I can make this in different colours if you prefer. Please send me a message if you do.
My suncatchers are for all year round, they don't need to be put away when the festive season is over.
The 5th photo shows the star I originally designed to this pattern for a commission - that one has some coloured nuggets rather than clear. You can see that though to the same design, each is unique.
