I love using natural textures in my work - no two will ever be quite the same. I took a mould of the bark of a hawthorn tree back in the summer in the Forest of Dean and thought it would be a perfect texture to use with a silver pendant.

Full description
This fine silver heart pendant is textured with the bark of a hawthorn tree. The heart measures approx. 2 x 2.5 cm and comes in a gift box with a sterling silver 16" rope chain.
This necklace is made using silver precious metal clay which was cut and textured whilst soft before drying and firing to leave 999 fine silver. The piece was then oxidised to darken the crevices in the bark before polishing to really highlight the texture. Hallmarked on the reverse at Birmingham Assay Office with my maker's mark.
