This is what happens when a rainbow catches fire

This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
The design represents flames leaping from a fire. I've given a background to the red and amber flames with glass in the other colours of the spectrum to make a rainbow.
This suncatcher is bright and vibrant.
At the centre is a little amber dichroic glass nugget I made in my hotpot kiln.
The 8 flames are all cut from different types of glass, shades and textures, to give it lots of movement.
This is 13 cm square and hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely attached to the top of the suncatcher.
It can hang in a window or just against a wall and it is would make a wonderfully colourful addition to any room.
I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece to ensure it is unique.
The 5th photo is of the other suncatcher I made to this pattern but all in red and amber shades so you can see that each is unique though to the same design.
