Item details

Raku is an ancient firing technique from Japan. It involves removing wares from the kiln while its still glowing hot! These are then cooled in a container usually filled with sawdust. The results are very different from other firing processes and each raku piece is completely unique!

Full description

A medium sized beautiful blue crackle raku bowl with shades of gold in the center.

Hand thrown and turned on the wheel.

Made in porcelain clay and fired using the ancient Japanese technique called raku.

As with all raku pottery its only decorative and is not food safe.

It would look wonderful as a decorative piece in itself. Raku wares function is in its beauty!

Diameter approx. 16cms height approx. 9.5cms

I use clean recycled packaging where ever possible.

Postage costs quoted do not include tracking or signature on delivery.Unless you request for tracking I will send items by standard post.
