Beautiful patchwork quilt in a quarter log cabin block design using Awesome by Sandy Gervais for Moda.
The quilt is machine quilted in a diagonal single line design. The binding is traditional double fold with mitred corners and hand finished.
The finished quilt measures 51" x 61" approximately.
Batting used is 100% cotton wadding. Which gives it the flatter, traditional look of an antique quilt, the more it is washed the softer it will get. I choose not to pre wash the batting as the slight shrinkage will give an antique puckering effect and i like this. I should also mention, wash it on a gentle wash and dry flat, then when it is practically dry, pop it in the dryer for a few minutes to fluff and soften it.
