My love of miniature items, doll's houses, embroideries, tapestry and the Arts & Crafts movement and of course William Morris.
A half completed watercolour by William Morris has fascinated me for years.
The original watercolour painting can be seen at the William Morris Gallery. It was a design for a tapestry sofa cover. The sofa cover was produced by John Henry Dearle and William Morris & Co in approximately 1910, after William Morris' death.

Doll's house Carpet hand made, which was inspired by a William Morris Sofa Panel.
A miniature 1/12th Scale dollhouse carpet based on my own interpretation of a sofa cover design attributed to William Morris.
The carpet measures 10 inches by 6.5 inches (25.25 cm x 16.5 cm)
It is all hand stitched on 22 holes per inch canvas using DMC cotton embroidery threads using tapestry stitch (tent stitch).
There are nearly 31,500 individual stitches and it took me approximately 70 hours to complete the carpet plus additional hours designing the chart.
The back of carpet has been neatened by woven fusible interfacing.

All the other items shown in the picture are just to give an idea of scale and how it would look in your own doll's house, they are NOT included in the purchase price.
Spot clean only.
For shipping it will be carefully wrapped in tissue paper and cellophane and placed between two cardboard sheets for protection and finally placed in a jiffy bag.

To overseas addresses it will be shipped by Royal Mail 1st Class International Signed For and you will receive a Tracking Number.
