I wanted to make this ancient proverb into a necklace, but in a more alternative and pretty style.
The sepia coloured prints of the beautiful Japanese ladies fit the bill perfectly and only needed teaming with a simple Pearl and Chain to finish this pretty and very different necklace.

Full description

No Ugly Monkeys Here!

This is the Little Fox take on the ancient proverb, replacing Three Wise Monkeys with Three Wise Beautiful Japanese Women.

The three separate glass cabochons sit on a hand painted, white filigree and hang from a simple Pearl and Chain combination which fastens with a lobster claw clasp.

Interesting Fact

The three monkeys are Mizaru, covering his eyes, who sees no evil; Kikazaru, covering his ears, who hears no evil; and Iwazaru, covering his mouth, who speaks no evil.

In Japan the proverb is simply regarded as a Japanese Golden Rule.

In Buddhist tradition, the tenets of the proverb are about not dwelling on evil thoughts.
