I bought the wood for the top when it had just been felled & knew that it would be perfect for a table top. I wasn't disappointed. The localised areas of burr show well when polished & the natural edge along one side makes this piece totally unique.

Full description
This is a coffee table made from solid oak. It measures approx 1 metre long x 45 cms high x 45 cms wide at its widest point. I have made the top from a piece of oak which was felled in the Arboretum at Westonbirt in Gloucestershire in 2001 & has been drying & seasoning in my wood store since then. The table is finished to a high standard using good-grade furniture paste wax for an easy to maintain finish
