Where I grew up the allotments were on a little patch of ground in amongst the field of wheat and the poplar-fringed orchards. The orchards have long gone but the poplars and the allotments are still there. I loved seeing the allotments in full flourish (I remember one grower eschewed the utilitarian and grew only dahlias) but now I am just as intrigued by the "skeleton" beneath, to be glimpsed only in the these cold winter months before the green takes hold again.

ORIGINAL lino print "Down the allotment"

Free P&P for UK buyers

This is an original lino cut print (limited edition of 30 in this colour). Printed from a hand-cut lino "plate" in black oil-based but water washable inks onto good quality Zerkal printing paper. The printed area is approximately 20x20cm and it is supplied in a mount to fit a 30x30cm frame. If you require a mount to fit a larger frame do contact me for costs.

These items are hand-printed and so vary slightly depending on ink density, character of the paper, pressure of the press and the way the wind blows (ok, maybe not the last bit).

Please note copyright remains with the artist, Alison Deegan 2013.
