TEA CUP featuring mice illustrations
Description
This beautiful little tea cup is just the right size to kick start your day with a proper cuppa tea. The wide top means that the tea can cool down to a guzzle-able temperature before you have to dash for the bus. The mice are just adorable.
Let me tell you a little more about how I make it.
First of all I create my drawings using pen, ink and watercolours. I then scan the image into my computer, resize it so it will fit perfectly onto the plate, then send it to a man named Jason in Stoke-on-Trent who prints my image using sublimation inks then coats it with a magical formula that makes my image into a transfer. Meanwhile I call up a man called Paul who also lives in Stoke-on-Trent to order some of his lovely china. Paul runs a family business with his brother making and selling pottery.
I then very carefully apply the transfer to the surface of the china.
I then drive my china to Formby (Where the red squirrels live) Where a lady named Sarah lets me use her kiln. The plates are then fired for 24 hours before I go and collect them.
This process ensures that each piece is completely unique
