I painted this little watercolour as a birthday gift for my step father.
I was sitting on the window seat in my little victorian terraced house, looking at the tiny front garden which I had lovingly created over several years. I had chosen plants which would spread and mingle together, growing low over the stones and gravel. I think the colours blend together beautifully and it has been a favourite with my customers as it is so eye catching for such a small image.
