Each card in this range (Bessie Friends) starts off with a character illustration in black ink, which I then scan in and add colour digitally before printing onto photopaper, mounting onto tissue paper and white 200gsm card and adding the finishing touches with glitter and fabric pens by hand. Each card is 150mm (h) x 100mm (w) with a white C6 envelope, sealed in a cello packet.

The back of every card in this range has instructions dedicated to each character from baking cookies with Dot to DJing with Dan!

She is a motherly figure, and with her cat for company she is always keeping herself busy around the house and doing things to make others smile, inspired by who other than my wonderful mum who is always up a ladder decorating or in the kitchen cooking for everyone (not to mention the 64 christmas cakes she made last year!)

Dot's favourite past-time is dancing round the kitchen with an early morning coffee to the smell of freshly baked cookies, and the cat running round the garden chasing birds and falling leaves…
