Full description
This handmade notebook was made from 100% cotton fabric by the designer Denyse Schmidt. The fabric is called Flea Market Fancy bouquet in turquoise. The collection is inspired by treasures collected from Denyse's favourite haunts. Flea Market Fancy showcases her unique ability to combine colourful, vintage charm with a modern sensibility and palette. The turquoise in this print is fabulous - with twists of red, brown and white. On the front of the notebook I have appliquéd the word “Notebook”.
I hand stitched the seven signatures together using red hemp twine. The fabric has been glued to the grey boards. I also glued the two end papers to the board. The spine has been left exposed because I think it is a nice feature to this handmade notebook.
There are irregularities with this handmade notebook, the cutting and folding of the paper is not perfectly flush.
This notebook would make a lovely Christmas or Birthday gift.
