I'm always experimenting with new ways to display artwork. I've always loved the look and feel of wood, so thought adding photos to wooden blocks was a perfect solution! The miniature size is also ideal for those short on space.

A small wooden block with an original rose image transferred onto it. This is an ideal way to own artwork if you're short on space.
The wooden block measures approximately 6.5cm x 5cm (2.5" x 2") with a depth of roughly 2cm (3/4"). It is a pine offcut, so isn't perfectly rectangular.
I have sanded by hand and then transferred one of my rose photos onto the surface. The rose is a kind of dark dusky pink, with a sepia feel. The edges still have a slightly rough texture, which I have left to add to the natural feel.
The image is transferred directly onto the wood; there is no paper. The nature of this process means that the image will be different every time, so you are buying a one of a kind item. The transfer process also means that the image has tiny imperfections which result in a distressed feel.
I have painted the edges in a complimentary brown and sealed the image for protection.
Your item will come carefully and attractively packaged. I try to reuse envelopes wherever possible and will post by 1st class Royal Mail to the UK and via airmail overseas.
