Decorate your Christmas trees with these beautiful ceramic Dala horses handmade from white stoneware clay, inspired by the popular Scandinavian design.
"THE DALA HORSE" originates from Scandinavia where they were traditionally made as toys for the children. The Dala Horse has now become the unofficial symbol of Sweden and Scandinavian frugality.
I have taken the Dala horse shape and cut it from clay, then textured the surface of the horses with a raised pattern and fired them in my kiln.
Currently being sold as a pair, (one large and one small size)
Attached to each pair of horses I have added a little tag with a little description of the Dala Horse origins. This can be removed easily by the recipient.
This listing is for the White Dala horses.
Please note that I have used two different surface patterns on the horses. If you would prefer a particular one please "send me a message" to let me know during purchase and I will send you your prefered choice (stocks depending).
