When I go to bed at night ideas come knocking on the door, this robin was welcomed in. I am lucky to have collected a lot of fabric and stuff from my days of scouring auctions and doing vintage textile fairs and so am never short of inspiration and the tweed just seemed to match the robins. My dad always used to play When the Red Red Robin Goes Bob Bob Bobbing Along for me on the piano when I was little, nice memories.

Full description
This is the second Xmas Tweed Robin card-decoration for this year and comes in brown tweed, a brother to the Pink Tweed Robin, you can never have two many robins at Xmas. He is also completely hand sewn and made from vintage tweed fabric with scraps of other vintage fabric for wings, breast and beak. Nicely padded again he is also finished with hand embroidered details and has natural cotton string legs. He is the same on both sides and can be removed from the card and used as a Xmas Decoration.
He is tied to the card with linen thread and there is a card banner mounted underneath and this says When The Tweed Tweed Robin... this continues Goes Bob Bob Bobbing Along inside the card. Under this hangs a handpainted card robin tag, the reverse left blank for your message.
There are 5 of these brown robins available, all individually crafted. The size of the card is A6 and the robin is approximately 10cms high including the legs.
The card comes in a protective clear plastic bag and with a slightly larger envelope due tho the 3D nature of the card. It will be sent to you in a padded envelope by first class recorded delivery.
