A striking brooch in the form of a heavily embroidered felt leaf - this textile brooch would look great on a winter coat or jacket.
This brooch has been hand-embroidered, using crewel work filling stitches, in thread which is randomly dyed in the same mixture of shades as the hand-dyed, background felt. The design is edged in blanket stitch in the same thread. A leaf stalk has been stitched in a thicker thread - also used for the main vein of the leaf, again in the same blend of colours.
The brooch is stiffened by a layer of heavy interfacing and the back is neatened with felt. A brooch pin is securely stitched in place.
Length (including stalk) - 7cm approx
Please note: items from Lynwoodcrafts are intended for adults. This item is unsuitable for children under 3 years of age since it contains small parts which may represent a choking hazard. This item is also unsuitable for older children as it contains a sharp pin.
Items of embroidered jewellery may not be entirely colourfast and care should be taken that jewellery items do not get wet in use in case colour should be transferred to items of clothing.
