This is a decoupaged wooden bangle.
This unique item is upcycled with a vintage map. It features central london including westminster, Bloomsbury, The Thames, Camden plus many other places.
I've styled this bangle a little differently from the others I have listed. This bangle is smaller and light with a neat and stylish shape.
I've lined the inside with some details of changes to the roads that were about to happen around the time the map went to print which was early 1970's.
This bangle is sealed with a non-toxic glue and I've coated with many layers to secure it. It would probably be best to avoid getting it wet. It feels smooth to the touch almost like plastic.
You might see the original folds from the map or some small creases around the edges where I've folded the map around the bangle, this just adds to the unique craft look.

I love how emotive maps can be. The roads, rivers and historical land marks make gorgeous and interesting patterns. I've made these for friends and they love them. They are a reminder of a special or favourite place on a unique piece of jewellery. They make a great personal present.
If you have a place in mind I can make them on request. Please let me know what you would like featured on your bangle. I have a fair collection of vintage ordnance survey and touring maps but may need a little time to find a particular map if its not one I've already got. I will happily give a time frame for you.
