Full description
The fabric used for this Men’s notebook came from my stash. I had some polyester silk vintage remnants that I believe were previously used for making men’s ties. I have used four different patterns – two on the front and two on the back. On the front of the notebook I have appliquéd the word “Notebook” which has been printed on white linen. I have also stitched some dark red velvet ribbon across the middle and added three black buttons.
I hand stitched the seven signatures together using red hemp twine. The fabric has been glued to the grey boards. I also glued the two end papers to the board. The spine has been left exposed because I think it is a nice feature to this handmade notebook. There are irregularities with this handmade notebook, the cutting and folding of the paper is not perfectly flush.
This notebook would make an ideal Birthday or Christmas gift for a man. It is lovely to look at, but is also a very useful and practical.
