Full description
This handmade journal or memory book was made from a white silk dupion fabric and I have cut out some vintage embroidery into the shape of a heart and appliquéd it to the front cover. I then hand stitched some cream pearl beads all around the heart. On the back cover I appliquéd a heart made from white jacquard fabric.
The nine signatures have been hand stitched using natural hemp twine and I attached three lengths of ivory satin ribbon to the spine. The fabric was glued to the grey boards and I also glued the two end papers to the board. The spine has been left exposed because I think it is a nice feature to this handmade journal.
Please note there are irregularities with this handmade journal; the cutting and folding of the paper is not perfectly flush.
This beautiful handmade journal would make an ideal gift for a bride to be, or even for the mother of the bride. It is lovely to look at, but is also very useful and practical. It can be used to record ideas, plans, colour schemes for the wedding, thoughts, feelings, photos and lots more!
