For a long time, I have been drawn to fossils nestling in the rocks around The Whitby area. You could be walking along the coast over rocks and then suddenly something would catch your eye and there in the rock would be a fossil. The spiraling nature of ammonites is one of natures great beauties and I have attempted to reacreate the ammonite spirals in this wall canvas which is one of a series. Whilst the fossils around Whitby show a hint of the history, the history of our woodlands and meadows is far more hidden and I've attempted to hint at that

Full description
This canvas is a one off creation created with recycled paper. It is based on greens and also contains greys and bronze of ancient trees.
Each canvas is worked in Papier mache and seeled with a varnish. The canvas measures approx 20cm x 20cm x 4cm
They can be free standing or mounted on a wall either individually or in a group.
each Canvas takes a week to create.
