A hand-printed linocut print entitled 'The Monsal Trail'.
A slight departure from my urban views (although there are a few houses on it!). This one caught my eye when I was coming back from a craft fair in Cheshire. I stopped for a rest, looked over a wall, and bingo! Quite a view. It is of an old abandoned railway line in Derbyshire, and the surrounding hills.
Dark green ink on off-white Daler-Rowney 220gsm acid-free paper. From an edition of 100, signed and numbered.
The print image measures H21xW14.8cm.
The paper measures H42xW29.7cm.
All prints will be posted flat in a cellophane sleeve and protective packaging.
I love landscapes, but rarely rural ones. This view caught my eye, as it seemed very dynamic, and I loved the contrast of the different elements, rocks, trees, man-made structures, sky and fields. Simple enough!
