A design challenge amongst crafting friends caused me to stitch the original piece from which this design evolved.

Full description
Beautiful hand-dyed fibres, in shades of plum, sage green, golden yellow and grey, have been felted to a background and embroidered in tapestry wools to create this pretty hanging.
An embellisher machine was used to create the squared background for this hanging. Hand embroidery, using tapestry wools and other wool yarns, is worked within the squares to create a vintage patchwork effect. The beautiful blend of colours gives a rich and pretty feel to this piece of wall art.
The back of the hanging is neatened with an extra layer of felt. A length of dowel, inserted into a sleeve, with attached cord, provides a means of hanging.
Height (maximum) - 20 cm approx.
Please note - this hanging may not be washed. As with all wall art, please do not hang in direct sunlight in case of fading.
