This handmade notebook was made from purple silk dupion fabric. I have appliquéd various floral motifs including guipure lace flowers on to the front cover and also stitched beads and sequins, buttons and also added some embroidery. I hand stitched the seven signatures together using natural hemp twine and included two lengths of lilac satin ribbon on the spine. The fabric was glued to the grey boards and I also glued the two end papers to the board. The spine has been left exposed because I think it is a nice feature to this handmade note book.
The paper used for this note book is a medium weight cartridge paper so it is suitable for using as a sketchbook as well as a note book, or even a journal.
Please note there are irregularities with this handmade note book that include the cutting and folding of the paper. It is not perfectly flush.
This note book would make an ideal gift and/or stocking filler! It is lovely to look at, but is also very useful and practical.
Measurements: It is a square size, 15cm (6ins) x 15cm (6ins) approximately. Plain cream paper, 64 pages
