Full description

This handmade note book was made using silk fabric that has large Fleur de Lys motifs all over it. I had the silk fabric in my stash and thought the design would make a lovely note book. I interfaced the fabric and then appliquéd a label on the back cover. I cut the grey board and cut and folded the paper into seven signatures.

I hand stitched the signatures together using the hemp twine. Then afterwards I glued the silk fabric to the boards. Finally, I glued the two end papers to the board. The spine has been left exposed because I think it is a nice feature to this handmade note book. There is a hand stitched vintage button and an ivory satin ribbon which is used as a closure around the note book.

Please note: The note book is an irregular size – it is larger than an A6 but smaller than A5.

This note book would make a lovely gift! It is lovely to look at, but is also a very useful and practical note book.

Measurements: Note book dimensions are 12.5cm (5ins) wide x 18cm (7ins) long with a depth of 2cm (0.75ins)
